DeBellis Law was established in 2019...
Marissa DeBellis has spent her career specializing in Elder Law, Estate Planning, Special Needs Planning, Long Term Care Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, and Guardianship law. After graduating law school with high honors, she began career at a well-respected boutique Elder Law firm in New York, focusing primarily on Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, and obtaining government benefits for her clients. Marissa moved to Florida in 2015 and emphatically states that she is never going back. Her practice in Florida gave her the opportunity to become a more well-rounded Trusts and Estates attorney by dealing with high net worth estates and tax issues.
She continues to work with clients in New York and specializes in developing creative plans for clients who share their time between New York and Florida or have transitioned from one state to the other. Her in-depth experience in the practice of estate planning and elder law in New York has enabled her to bring new techniques and ideas to her practice of law in Florida.
In 2019, Marissa decided to open her own practice so that she could dedicate her time to representing seniors, persons with special needs, and their families. She is also an Accredited Attorney with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and enjoys volunteering her time to organizations that support veterans as well as the developmentally disabled community. She is a proud and active alumnus of both of her alma maters as well as the Junior League of the Palm Beaches.
As an attorney, Marissa not only advocates for her clients, but goes above and beyond to make sure that her clients have the best possible outcome. As a frequent lecturer, Marissa also feels it is her duty to educate people about the issues that come with aging and to help them navigate the long-term care system.
